Dental Extractions at Lake Mountain Dental

If a tooth is badly decayed or damaged, it might need to be fully extracted. To prevent issues with nearby teeth, you can consider dental implants or bridges as possible solutions.

Straightforward Tooth Removal

Dental extractions encompass the skillful and precise elimination of a compromised or decayed tooth. When a tooth is severely decayed, broken, or jeopardizes neighboring teeth and overall oral well-being, extraction is a requisite step. Administered under local anesthesia, the procedure minimizes discomfort. After the extraction, patients receive guidance for proper healing. Dental extractions play a vital role in averting subsequent complications and upholding prime oral health. This opens the door to exploring suitable tooth replacement choices like dental implants or bridges, which reestablish functionality and appearance.

Benefits of Dental Extractions

Relief

Dental extractions efficiently ease toothaches and discomfort stemming from extensively damaged or decayed teeth, promptly delivering relief.

Prevention

The extraction of severely decayed or infected teeth serves to curb the spread of infection to adjacent teeth and surrounding tissues, thereby diminishing the likelihood of more severe oral health complications.

Health

Through the removal of troublesome teeth, dental extractions play a role in advancing oral hygiene and overall oral well-being, fostering a healthier and more functional smile.

5 star experience all around. Dr. Tornow has to be the kindest and most experienced doctor I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Have recommended many family members and will continue to do so. His work made me go from never smiling, to never being able to stop!

A lot of reviews are saying that they were “up sold for a deep cleaning.” As a dental hygienist, myself, I feel like I can tell when my hygienist knows what they’re talking about. Ale was so professional, so efficient, and really listened to me when it came to my concerns about my appointment. I worked at another office (zero names will be given) and would go to my fellow hygienists for “cleanings.” After a few visits of subpar hygiene, I could feel buildup under my gums while flossing. This buildup can only be removed by a competent and capable hygienist, which was so frustrating because I wanted to be able to remove it myself.Visiting Ale was nerve wracking. it’s embarrassing to work in hygiene and have to get a deeper cleaning to get things back on the right track, but Ale was so kind and did just that. My gums and teeth were back on the right track after that first extended cleaning visit. I am SO GRATEFUL for a hygienist who told me the truth about what was going on beneath my gums instead of only telling me what I wanted to hear. It makes me feel like she really cares about my health. That buildup happens fast if you aren’t staying up on those regular (and efficient) cleanings. Anyone saying they were being told they needed a deeper cleaning probably did need one 🤷🏼‍♀️ Getting a surface level, regular cleaning can lead to worse problems down the road such as gum disease and tooth loss if you really need more than that.Thankful, again, for an amazing hygienist who knows her stuff, tells me the hard stuff so I can get the care I need, and cleans like she means it 🙏🏻 shoutout to Ale!
